About the position The Credit Counselor position at American Consumer Credit Counseling (ACCC) involves providing financial counseling and education to individuals facing financial crises. This role is designed for both full-time and part-time candidates, particularly those available for evening shifts. The position offers comprehensive training and certification, with a focus on helping clients achieve financial stability through compassionate counseling and tailored debt management programs. Responsibilities ? Provide financial counseling to clients experiencing financial crises. , ? Assist clients in understanding their financial situations and developing budgeting solutions. , ? Offer tailored debt management programs to help clients achieve successful outcomes. , ? Communicate effectively with clients over the phone, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette. , ? Collaborate with team members to enhance client support and service delivery. Requirements ? High school diploma or GED required. , ? Minimum of 1 year of experience in customer service or phone communication. , ? Basic knowledge of financial concepts and basic math skills. , ? Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Nice-to-haves ?
