Job Description GDS Associates, Inc. has an excitingand challenging opportunity for a Consultant - Energy Reliability & Security inthe Transmission Services Department. This position is based out of theMarietta (Atlanta), GA office with work-from-home options available. The primaryresponsibilities and required skills are listed below. Responsibilities ? Direct the development, implementation, and assessment of the NERC, Regional Reliability Standards, and RTO specific compliance programs for GDS Clients. ? Provide advisory services for NERC Operations & Planning Standards and requirements. ? Participate in NERC, Regional Entity, and Regional Compliance Forum meetings on behalf of Clients. ? Serve as primary contact for NERC and Regional Entity Compliance on behalf of GDS clients ? Serve as subject matter expert for the NERC Operations & Planning Standards. ? Manager - Serve as the technical supervisor of Associate, Engineer, Lead, Project Lead, or Senior Project Lead staff. ? Responsible for directclient engagement and will be a part of forward-facingclient team. ? Independently perform assignments with some supervision. ? Assist in generating work or proposal development. ? Demonstrate competency in all aspects of subject matter or functional area. ? Provide specialized expertise to support project development. ? Compile completed tasks from team members and develop them into final presentations or reports to the client. ? Support development of expert witness testimony in regulatory proceedings. ? Collaborate with other team members and otherdepartments. ? Assign tasks and organize team members to ensureproductivity. ? Participate in mentoring other teammembers. Experience and Skills ? Required Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering,or other STEM major. ? Preferred Master's degree in Engineering, STEMmajor, or MBA. ? Preferred Professional Engineer or NERCCertified System Operator in lieu of Master's degree. ? Mustpass a Background Check before employment and again at least once every 7-years ? Preferred 7 to 10 years' experience in theelectric utility industry directly related to NERC Compliance ? Manager- Demonstrated team leadership or supervisory experience. ? Upto 50% travel to Client sites and to attend industry meetings. GDS is an Equal Opportunity Employer. This position is not available for visa sponsorship.
